She’s the moment yet again. Fresh from her head-turning appearance at Coachella 2025 in a bohemian festival ensemble, Soberano continues to make a statement wherever she goes.
Gracing the gold carpet with elegance and poise, Filipino American actress Liza Soberano lit up the 4th annual Gold House Gala held in Los Angeles, an event that celebrates the most influential Asian American and Pacific Islander (AAPI) leaders shaping American culture today.
The “Lisa Frankenstein” star stood out in a sculptural mint green gown by designer Zhaoyi Yu, whose wave-like silhouette captured both attention and admiration.

Known for seamlessly blending Hollywood flair with her Filipina roots, the “Alone/Together” lead took to Instagram to reflect on the night’s importance.
“Each year, the Gold Gala reminds me why community matters. Honored to be among the bold, brilliant, and beautiful. #GoldGala2025 #AAPIHeritageMonth,” she wrote, emphasizing her pride in being part of a growing and united AAPI movement.
Organized by Gold House, a Los Angeles-based nonprofit that champions AAPI leaders, the annual gala also honored this year’s A100 awardees. Among them were notable names like Darren Criss, Nicole Scherzinger and Bruno Mars – each recognized for their cultural contributions and visibility within mainstream media.
Meanwhile, fellow AAPI champions Mindy Kaling, Chrissy Teigen and Sandra Oh also took the spotlight as they paid tribute to the community’s rising and established voices during the night’s program. Their presence further amplified the importance of visibility and unity within the AAPI landscape.
Soberano offered fans a behind-the-scenes peek at the exclusive evening through an Instagram carousel, which included a photo of the dinner menu crafted by Filipino chef and 2024 James Beard Awardee Maynard Llera.
Filipino American Miss Universe R’Bonney Gabriel commented, “Stunning.”
Spotted alongside Soberano were other Filipino and AAPI icons, including model Kelsey Merritt in a custom Vania Romoff gown, musical sensation Laufey, Wicked director Jon M. Chu and Olympic gymnast Jordan Chiles.
